I am free

“I chose this affirmation because it is based on one of my favorite albums, Dance Fever, by Florence and the Machine. I think someone who doesn’t struggle with anxiety wouldn’t be able to articulate those feelings so well. To me the undertones is the album focus a lot on struggling with anxiety, and some of the lyrics really but home.

The song free is one of my favorite songs from their latest album. This past year I saw her live at Madison square garden with two of my best friends.

That night, I think all three of us felt free.

We danced together, sang together, and cried together. We put our phones away and were just there with each other, and a thousand other people, enjoying one of our favorite artists.

During my session, we listened to this album and I tried to capture the same feeling, by letting go, having fun, and by taking up space.” -Greta
